Our team members are: Heather Passey, Carin Davis, Jennifer Freeman & Erika Tiernan.

Together we will share with you our love of enriching our lives through photography, art and creativity.

Heather Passey-
I have always had a love for art in all its forms since the time I was a little girl! Throughout life, I have surrounded myself with opportunities to learn different genres and mediums such as theater, art, home design, music, and photography.  This is a love I am passionate about sharing with others, especially my own children.   Art speaks to me in so many ways – as there are so many levels of creativity.  It brings me joy and satisfaction when I create something that is beautiful or when I can experience other’s talents and abilities.  I am drawn to individuals who are passionate about making the world a more beautiful place through creative expression!  For the past 8 years I have been particularly drawn to photography.  Having so much in life to document such as family, travel, food and nature, I feel a need to capture life around me so I can enjoy ‘that moment’ forever!  It has been a privilege to work with Carin Davis on many occasions as she has helped me both as an instructor and as our family photographer.   I feel photography is a great medium for teens to express themselves and interpret the world around them and look forward to working with you.    

Carin Davis-
I have been the person in the family that was obsessed with all of the photo albums...for as long as I can remember.  I love them all!  Whether I am in them or not (maybe even more if I am not!).  The love I have for remembering the special, and even ordinary, events in my life and the lives of my loved ones has propelled me into photography.  I began taking pictures of EVERYTHING and ANYONE who would allow me to photograph them.  As I went along I have worked hard to learn as much as I can to improve the photographs I love so much!  On this journey I have had the opportunity to share this love with friends + clients.  My professional photography business began about 8 years ago.  My focus professionally has been family portraiture.  I was also the founder and teacher of the CREATE photography workshop.  I taught manual photography to other enthusiasts, like myself.  Many of them have gone on to become professional photographers themselves.  I took a break for a few years to focus on the needs we had at home with three young daughters.  I returned back to professional photography when my youngest daughter began first grade this last fall.  I have LOVED being back!  I am so excited for this new adventure!  I am so excited about our team---some of the finest women I know.  I am passionate about the gifts that telling your story through creativity can bring to your lives.  I look forward to sharing it with you! 

Jenny Freeman-
When I was 15 years old my parents gave me a Konica Minolta 35mm SLR  camera for Christmas. That was the beginning of my love for photography. While I didn't understand all the technical terms for my camera, shutter speed, aperture, ISO. I knew that I LOVED taking pictures.  Photography became even more important to me when I became a mother.  There are so many moments during motherhood that you never want to forget. Tiny dimpled hands, drippy eyelashes, first steps, lost teeth – It was important for me to capture those moments with my photography. Looking back at my photos takes me back to those moments. It's like I'm standing behind my camera again remembering where I stood and how I felt when I was capturing those memories.  I take simple photos of everyday moments. I photograph things that make me happy...mostly my family. I love taking pictures of an unscripted moment, capturing personality, memorable details, expressions, and emotions. My favorite photos depict our everyday family life – REAL LIFE.


Erika Tiernan-
I am so thrilled to be a part of this workshop and to be working with these amazing, talented women. I have always been interested in creative outlets since I was young. I find I am most happy when I can express myself through decorating and beautifying things around me.  I love to transform a large to room to create the perfect ambiance for a party or gathering.  I will be working to create an inspiring workplace and delicious food for this workshop!  I will be working on every detail to make this event a success!  I look forward to meeting all of you!
